The Sacramento Bee's Voter Guide published on May 11 stated that Gov. Jerry Brown declined to respond to questions posed to the candidates. In fact, Brown offered to answer all six of the questions featured in the voter guide.

However, The Bee refused to publish the governor's responses unless he also completed an additional series of SAT-style multiple-choice questions.

As The Bee reported in a Capitol Alert titled "Jerry Brown won't answer multiple choice voter guide questions," the governor offered to explain his position on various issues, but not fill out multiple choice questions.

Readers are invited to visit JerryBrown.org to read the responses The Bee did not publish.
