RRe "Frantic bid failed to stop killer" (Page A1, May 25): So sorry to read and hear about this. But our culture has change so much. We know we can't punish the evil people we have in this country, and they know this. They know they will receive better health care and food than our senior citizen will ever have.

So I know now Congress is scrambling to try to make new laws which will only affect the safe and sane people. But what about the one who has a mental problem. the one who can't afford the medicine that he needs?

Let's face it, we need to change our way of thinking.
