Re "Proposal could raise Sacramento County sales tax for soccer stadium, arts and nonprofits" (Business, May 28): The Sacramento County Supervisors are taking up the possibility of raising my sales taxes. However, the supervisors refuse to tax and regulate marijuana.
The soccer stadium is not a bad thing, but why raise my sales taxes when the supervisors refuse to tax the many marijuana users? The medical marijuana users want to be taxed, even up to an additional 10 percent sales tax on medical marijuana. Nope, no sales tax increases for anything until Sacramento County collects the taxes on marijuana.
The county must not need the money for anything since they are giving the money to other cities who charge the marijuana tax. No more taxes until the supervisors become more financially astute.
