Re "Rocklin Students Arrested in Social Media Scare" (Sacto 911, June 3): Close to home for us, the Whitney High Internet scare provides yet another opportunity for us to educate young people and adults regarding appropriate use of the Web.
We need clear communication as to what is and what isn't OK to post, not only on social media outlets but anywhere on the Internet. The message? Once you put it out there, it's a permanent record, with potential for serious consequences forever. As they say in the legal world, "You can't unring a bell."
