Re "Bowe Bergdahl and the human cost of war" (Editorial, June 3): This president put a target on the backs of all American citizens who travel abroad by incentivizing and positively reinforcing the kidnapping of our citizenry. What a victory for terrorists.

Leaders of Hezbollah and al-Qaida are in a frenzy, making plans to capture American innocents, while knowing we have a president so willing to arrange the release of their murderous cohorts. Obama released mass murderers who have pledged to kill as many Americans as possible. I wonder how many will die in the future at the hands of these animals. How many of our brave soldiers died in vain apprehending the released terrorists?

The Bee's editorial endorsed Obama's move by saying this was a move in the right direction to closing Gitmo. That's like saying releasing Jeffrey Dahmer, Charles Manson and Ted Bundy would've been great for alleviating prison over-crowding.
