Why I didn't vote

Tuesday was the first time in over 30 years I did not vote. Having witnessed the devolution of our political system, I have stopped deceiving myself into believing that voting for one dolt over another actually matters.

Politics is thoroughly corrupted by money and our so-called democracy is a fallacy. In addition, I have yet to see a true leader arise who cares about the public good and has the brains to go with it. Since the public good often conflicts with corporate profits, it is unlikely quality leadership will ever come to the fore.
