It wasn't money

Re "Ads gave Kashkari the edge" (Page A1, June 5): The article suggests that if Assemblyman Tim Donnelly had only spent more money, he would have won a position in the top-two primary. " But it seems that every time Donnelly made an appearance or got press, he shot himself in the foot. Spending more would have only have given him the opportunity to reinforce what we already knew, that Donnelly is too extreme for the majority of California Republicans.
