Re "Crude oil trains to roll through city" (Our Region, June 7): Congratulations to our city council for wanting the infill the McKinley Village would bring. In light of the recent report on the oil trains traversing the proposed development with 100 or more oil cars daily and its threat of possible disaster, wouldn't it be wise to postpone their decision to develop the site? Even if the site is considered safe with the threat of danger constantly in the mind of future inhabitants ,who would buy in the area?
Actually, who would insure the project? The community would be well served if our council took another look.
