Re Editorial cartoon, (June 19): The editorial cartoon The Bee elected to print on June 19 depicts President Obama appearing very disgruntled while former President Bush holds a sign saying "We Break It, Obama Owns It."

It does seem reasonable to ask, how can President Obama, who has been president and commander in chief for the past 5 1/2 years and who has, in that time, increased our national debt by $6.5 trillion in that same period, be expected to have any kind of responsibility for the current Iraq situation? After all, he has been mainly preoccupied by keeping al-Qaida on the run.

In regards to the phrase "We Break It," the editorial staff might derive some profit by a review of the conditions existent in Iraq immediately prior to May 2003.
