Ban fireworks

The Fourth of July is approaching rapidly, and we will again have the threat of fires started by people playing with fireworks. When is all the madness going to end? Why don't our elected politicians do the right thing and ban the use of fireworks by anyone other then professionals that are trained properly in the use of fireworks?

We are in the middle of one of the worst droughts in California history, so we do not need our firemen using our water to fight fires started by non-professionals. Every year, I see bottle rockets being launched from backyards. It seems like nothing is done to stop this from happening each year.
