Re "Birth control exemption upheld" (Page A1, July 1): I agree with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Childbirth or the prevention of such should be decided by women. It must be difficult to even discuss such an issue with her fellow justices and keep a straight face. Oh, if only these men knew what women know when it comes to "going forth and replenishing this earth." Humans have advanced in their thinking. Women are no longer expected to breed like rabbits to please their maker and die young trying to fulfill such expectations. These who wrap themselves in the "religious" cloak in their thinking may believe they are in some way helping their flock by such backward thinking. They are not. Not so uncommon, many religions headed by men, have an inflated view of their power and influence. This narrow minded thinking belongs in Saudi Arabia, not America.
