Re "Scope of water bond" (July 7): No water bond should be approved by the California taxpayers that does not include restrictions on residential growth and development. We cannot provide water and protect our future water resources for our current population.

The big residential developers will not like it, but if we 're going to protect our future water resources, growth restrictions must be part of the water bond.
