Border crisis: Future generations of poverty

Re "Immigrant children deserve our compassion, not jeers and taunts" (Editorial, July 6): How about calling the supposed anti-immigration crowd what we are: anti-illegal immigration is more factual.

How about 4 billion, not 2 billion being the actual number the president wants. For courts and the border? How about feeding, clothing and their health care at our expense is more like it?

Why hasn't anyone asked why access to Beale AFB was closed for three days? No access, even for a Congressman. What are they hiding? This is a public safety issue.

Your grandchildren and their children are going to pay for this. Once again, with the money we don't have. Where's the compassion in that?
