Nature's rejuvenating power

Re "Wildfire forces evacuations in Northern California" (Page A1, July 12): Let us hope that the distresses that rampant wildfires cause in California and elsewhere will not result in sell-offs of burnt trees to timber companies. Nature and not corporations should profit from the natural cycle of wildfires, since burnt-out trees and vegetation itself creates its own regenerative power. Just leave Mother Nature's natural pruning alone, guys. After all, it's the Blue Jewel's primary caretaker.
