Border crisis: better housing before going home

Re "Immigrant children deserve compassion, not taunting" (Forum, July 6): Gov. Jerry Brown, I believe that seeing these children in the places they have put them in, is not humane. Some of these places are just putting these children in these holding places, and they don't have showers.

Where they should go is to a place where they can take a shower, eat and have clothes. After that, they should go back to Central America.

Our border patrol agents should not be working as babysitters. They should be patrolling our borders. The president can order the National Guard at the borders anytime, but he is waiting for Congress to pass his comprehensive bill, so he isn't doing anything. I guess he'd rather go to fundraisers and play pool than do what he was elected to do: keep America safe and enforce our laws.
