Border crisis: Cesar Chavez was right

Re "Obama seeks governors' support on immigrant kids" (Nation/World, July 13): The flood of illegal immigrants at our Southern border will not stop until we secure the border once and for all and enforce current immigration law, which means, yes, deportation.

I stand with the late labor leader Cesar Chavez who was vehemently opposed to illegal immigration because he rightly knew it would lower the wages of American workers, be it citizens or legal immigrants.
