Re "Women need choice of contraceptives" (Viewpoints, July 9): The information in this article regarding Hobby Lobby is faulty. Hobby Lobby did not object to contraceptives. Their objection was to health coverage for drugs that can cause the abortion of a fertilized egg. Hobby Lobby has health coverage for contraceptives that prevent conception.
It should be noted that not everyone who opposes abortion does so for religious reasons. Scientists tell us that life begins at conception and therefore, there are some who oppose abortion for ethical reasons. -- Lorraine Latreille, Sacramento
