Re "Farm to warfare: UC Davis institute stands watch against agroterrorism" (sacbee.com, July 13): There is not a doubt that UC Davis should proceed to keep working to prevent an agricultural disaster. It is getting harder for terrorists to attack the States, so they will be trying to find another way to hurt us. Agroterrorism could be the easiest way to hurt us and even be the deadliest.
People need to stop worrying about what they are doing and let them protect our nation. People may be complaining now, but they won't be complaining when they will prevent something like foot-and-mouth disease virus from spreading. Continuing this will be the best for our country. If we still want to be the land of the free and the home of the brave, we need to do whatever necessary to protect against terrorism.
