City is wasting water

Re “Hefty fines would make clear state is in severe drought” (Editorial, July 14): What kind of fine would The Bee advocate for the city when they waste water? It was evident that the city watered Glenn Hall Park on Monday as the soccer field grass was wet, and there were puddles of water in the gutter along Sandburg Drive in front of the field, and the children's play area. The park is the odd side of the street, so the watering should be done on Saturday, not Monday, and water should not be allowed to run into the street.
Before the city imposes fines on the public for any signs of water run-off, they need to make certain they are not guilty of doing the same.
