Water facts seem skewed

Re "Overwatering is a crime, but not for all Californians" (Editorials, July 17): Where does the editorial board get its water facts? Sacramentans use 279 gallons per day compared to Los Angeles' 138? Last year my household used around 150, but we've cut back to 104 this year. That's three adults using 104 per day.

I can not imagine any person using 279 gallons per day.
