Full speed ahead for East Coast oil

Re "Eastern Seaboard open for oil seekers" (Business, July 19): Oil exploration on the East Coast? You betcha, even if it does cost the lives of a few thousand animals, fish and birds.

In fact, I think exploration should start right away and operate 24/7, beginning in such places as Kennebunkport, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Long Island, The Hamptons, Cape Cod, Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Daytona Beach. I'm sure the good people of those comfy and well-padded communities would be glad to participate and do their part to make their rich brethren even richer.
