A disturbing trend for Sacramento

"Commission scans tower proposal" (Our Region, July 25): The Sacramento Commons project brings to mind Dwight Eisenhower's warning to the nation about the growing danger of the military industrial complex.
I see a similar, subtle, unspoken alliance between developer Kennedy Wilson and Sacramento politicians. They are about to take a perfectly normal community -- with a history free of blight and crime and designed to be the same type of community they seek to build -- and tear it apart in the name of infill, growth and progress.
If approved, this will really be about quick corporate profits, revenue at any cost for municipal coffers and misguided exploitation by politicians. The very same dangers that Eisenhower warned the nation about may now be taking place right before your eyes: an unholy alliance between Sacramento politicians and big money real estate interests.
