Gaza: Photos draw sympathy for Palestinians

Re "Desolation in Gaza" (Page A1, July 22) and "Israel entitled to defend itself" (Letters, July 22): The caption on these photos, as does nearly all of the coverage related to the conflict between Gaza and Israel, leans toward eliciting sympathy for the Palestinians and their psychotic loss of life and infrastructure. All unnecessary loss is to be decried. However, the declared aim of a Palestinian attack is to annihilate Israel.

Where is the outrage for the continued murderous shelling of Israeli civilians or Hamas' pathological sacrifice of its own civilians, women, children and the elderly?
