Israel: Blowing in the wind

Re "Israelis in front row for Gaza bombing" (Page A1, July 23): It's said that a picture is worth a thousand words. So is the one of Israelis viewing the bombing of Palestinians in the valley below. However, the photo conveys a lie.

The viewers are not really endangered, though Hamas rockets fall, mostly harmlessly, near the town they call Sderot. It used to be called Huj. It was cleansed in 1948. Below are more than 6,000 descendants of Huj, trapped in Gaza and being slaughtered -- mostly women and children -- by modern machines of mass destruction supplied to the Israeli military by the United States. Their crime is living, resisting and witnessing for humanity the brutal, hypocritical US/Zionist imperial agenda.

Don't be fooled. Be human. It's difficult work. Lean against the sordid gale of propaganda.
