Re "Mexico is a partner with state" (Our Region, July 27): If it's Sunday, it must be Bashing by Breton. What would the weekend be without Chief Apologist Marcos Breton trashing the United States? This week's episode? How wonderful it is to have Mexico as a trade partner and how U.S. immigration policies need to be reformed.
Hey Marcos, can a U.S. citizen amble across the Mexican border, get a job, benefits, bilingual services, free medical, education and housing? Do people in Mexico have to "oprima el uno" for English when making a call to a help center? Perhaps Mexico's immigration policies need adjustment, and woe to anyone calling for strengthened borders, especially a member of Congress.
Marcos, I will fully match your salary if you spend a month in Mexico, get a job, benefits, English language services, free housing, and free food. Time for you to press one to realize you live in the United States.
