Bee's reporting watchdog ignores local politics

Re "Capitol coverage shows commitment" (From the Editor, July 27): I think Joyce Terhaar gives The Bee too much credit for being a watchdog that is "making sure politicians and public officials are serving your interests, not theirs."
When it came to the local politics surrounding the arena deal, The Bee's staff was mostly silent, except for Marcos Breton's weekly denunciations of non-believers.
