We are in severe drought. Everyone's being asked to conserve water. New regulations are passed to fine wasters $500 per day for water running in the gutters.
Why is it then that in the last month, I have personally observed fire hydrants opened and dumping water full blast on the roads and gravel for a solid thirty minutes each at Mather Air Field? This has happened seven times. How many gallons would that be?
