Re "Bill would start first diaper aid" (Page A1, Aug. 2): It turns out that lots of things associated with being a parent are inconvenient, not the least of which includes washing, sanitizing and air-drying cloth diapers when a family can't afford or chooses not to use disposables. So why don't we go ahead and offer a credit for diapers?

In fact, let's go ahead and provide an advocate to attend parent-teacher conferences. And don't forget, a credit for a free and reliable car so junior can drive himself to and fro once he turns 16. I wouldn't want mom to be inconvenienced.
