SB 270 has hidden agenda

I hope Californians wake up quickly to what is arguably one of the largest scams that's ever been perpetrated by a Sacramento legislator. SB 270 isn't about protecting the environment by banning plastic bags. It's about increasing grocer profits.
I saw a television commercial about this a couple of days ago, and I'm appalled. Senator Alex Padilla is simply trying to let his grocer friends take even more money from Californians by allowing them to charge ten cents for paper and plastic bags, and the grocers keep all the money. None of it would go to any kind of a public purpose.
We elected these people to look out for our interests, but those become secondary once the campaign contributions start rolling in. Something is very wrong here.
