Rod Wright: Unfairly singled out

Re "Sen. Rod Wright: 'Life ain't fair'" (Capitol Alert, Aug. 12): Life isn't fair for California Senator Rod Wright. Sen. Wright isn't a criminal, he's a victim of a law that is only sometimes, as in his case, applied.
There are California legislators here and there in this state who are in the same position as Wright, effectively living outside their districts. It appears as if the law is left up to the digression of the district attorneys of the counties, and in Wright's case, the D.A. decided to go after him.
As a Democrat and a Californian, I call this unfair. The law is dumb, Congressmen don't have this and we don't really need it for California lawmakers. Repeal the law, and before we do that, stop the prosecution of Wright and let him fill out his term.
