State school bond

For the last several weeks we have seen a freeze in Sacramento when it comes to placing a school bond measure on the November ballot for voters consideration. The responsibility rests with the governor, not the governor's office or the legislature.
AB 2235 will provide bond money for new schools and the modernization of others. It addresses needs in our public schools and universities. The bill has had almost unanimous support from both sides of the aisle in the Legislature. It has wide support from business, labor and education. Yet, AB 2235 sits.
The responsibility rests with Gov. Brown, no one else, and only the governor can clear the freeze. It is time for Brown to stand up and be counted. He has the power to do so, so be bold. Let the voters decide.
