Robin Williams: Ohman's honesty is refreshing

Re "It's futile to guess what he was thinking" (Jack Ohman, Aug. 17): Ohman wrote a refreshing article concerning our ways of jumping to conclusions regarding the reasons behind depression. Nobody really knows except that person, referring to Robin Williams.

Some depressions are helped by medication, but others maybe not. Ohman was one of the lucky ones. Evidently, Williams was not. Either way, depression is very real and can be very dangerous.

We should not even try to know what anyone is thinking. This article was a real stretch for a political cartoonist, but I think Ohman hit the nail on the head.
