Bring arts to Folsom

Viewpoints and letter writers are correct to lament the lack of fine arts in Sacramento. I have a suggestion: come to Folsom.
The Harris Center in Folsom has thrived since it opened over three years ago, offering a wide variety of events and drawing crowds from the Bay Area to the stateline. I would be thrilled to introduce my children to the symphony, ballet or opera.
Sacramento doesn't want to be a sports town; it wants to be a basketball town as evidenced by the mayor's refusal to support a globally-recognized sport like MLS soccer. Folsom would be a great place to feature events of all kinds that the Sacramento City Council can't wrap their basketball minds around.
