Re "Jerry Brown announces film tax credit deal" (Capitol Alert, Aug. 27): California has the highest personal income tax in the country, and the last tax hike was retroactive. High taxes have led to many employers leaving the state for cheaper pastures.
It just doesn't make any sense that Jerry Brown and the Democrat regime have changed their stripes and now believe that lower taxes are good for Hollywood jobs. Only Hollywood. The governor and his cohorts would fight you to keep your own money but are just fine sending your confiscated money to wealthy Hollywood producers.
Who knew the 1 percent are Democrats? Income redistribution from middle class tax payers to the 1 percent in Hollywood who support the regime. The same party that demonizes Burger King for seeking a lower tax bill is giving Hollywood the same deal. Shameful hypocrites.
