‘Touched my heart’

On the day our law enforcement community faced tragedy within their ranks, the picture on the back page of The Bee touched my heart.

An intimidating-appearing special agent from the California Department of Justice, dressed in black with a badge, helmet, gun and other accouterments of his job, carried a child’s pink lunchbox while gently leading her to safety.

Wow. Such a great picture.
