A step backward for justice reform

Budget trailer bill would cut peremptory challenges in misdemeanor cases from 10 to six

It would undermine ability of prosecutors and defense lawyers to weed out biased jurors

Similar bills have been rejected in previous sessions and didn’t go through policy committee this time
