Free gardeners workshop

The Sacramento County's Water Resources Department will offer a free workshop on River-Friendly Landscaping, for home gardeners and professionals, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20 at the McMillan Center in Fair Oaks Park.

The workshop will include river-friendly gardening tips, and information on design, installation, maintenance practices that reduce pesticide, green waste and water pollution, while still conserving energy and water.

Registration is required by April 14
