Air Force Airman Kyle T. Willing, son of Denise Labadie of Orangevale, recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies, performed drill and ceremony marches, received physical training, rifle marksmanship, did field training exercises and also received special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate's degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Army National Guard Maj. Lorraine Januzelli, daughter of Kenneth L. and Maureen C. Fox of Fair Oaks, has been mobilized and activated for a deployment overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Enduring Freedom is the official name given to anti-terrorism military operations involving U.S. troops and allied coalition partners. Mission objectives encompass combating the international terrorist network or regime forces outside the borders of the United States.
Januzelli, a public affairs officer with 15 years of military service, is normally assigned to the 128th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment in Draper, Utah. Her husband, David, is son of Carlo A. and Helga L. Januzelli of Granite Bay.
She is a 1982 graduate of Highlands High School in North Highland, and also received her bachelor's degree in 1988 from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash.
