Home sales in the Sacramento region were stuck in an odd rut in March, traditionally the start of the spring homebuying season. Even though prices rebounded to healthy levels not seen since before last decade’s housing boom and bust, the supply of homes on the market remained anemic.

San Francisco-based Pacific Gas and Electric Company says it has paid property taxes and franchise fees totaling more than $302 million to the 49 counties and 243 cities in which it operates in California. That included including more than $51 million to 16 counties and 50 cities in the Sacramento Valley and Central Valley.
