At least 1,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected Sunday at Raley Field for the 32nd running of the Toy Run, a biker parade through Sacramento.
The loud parade is designed to drum up support for the yearly Toys for Tots campaign. Last year the event was held in Elk Grove and collected 2,000 toys that were distributed by the Toys for Tots campaign.
The event has outgrown the Elk Grove site and moves this year to Raley Field in West Sacramento, where a daylong festival will begin at 9 a.m. The parade of bikes begins at noon and will run west on Highway 50 to eastbound Interstate 80, then south on Interstate 5. The circuit will then run through downtown Sacramento before returning to Raley Field.
