SMUD Commissions 55 New Wind Turbines
SMUD started up 55 new wind turbines providing 128 megawatts of electricity from the Solano Phase 3 Wind Project near Rio Vista. That's enough to power 44,000 homes. SMUD’s Solano Wind Project is on a 5,400-acre parcel near the Sacramento River in the Solano County’s wind-rich, eastern side.
