Winners of Rocklin Academy's second public speaking contest were announced in May. Winners are fourth-grader Haley Vanderloo, third place; sixth-grader Lena Rohde, first placer; and fourth-grader Samie Hill, second place. Lena's winning speech was on the "social effect of the rock and pop group the Beatles on history and modern culture."
