Sierra College trustees Aaron Klein and Scott Leslie have announced early that they will seek re-election in November.
Three trustees of the five-member Sierra Community College District board are up for re-election, including Jerry Simmons, who has decided not to pursue another term, said Diane Wright, a district spokeswoman.
Klein, 29, of Colfax and Leslie, 40 of Roseville, were first elected to the board in 2004.
During that time the 20,000-student college has weathered ups and downs.
The college was able to turn around three straight years of budget deficits and achieve four years of balanced budgets, according to a statement issued by Klein.
However, the fiscal upswing was marred by divided leadership over the 2005 ouster of a former college president.
