Bad air closes public pool in Lincoln

Published: Wednesday, Jul. 09, 2008 | Page 2B

LINCOLN – McBean Pool was closed Tuesday, after Placer County officials issued an updated air quality advisory recommending people delay strenuous outdoor exercise.

All programs and classes at the public pool were canceled and pool staff was trying to determine how to make up the missed classes.

Parks and Recreation officials said they will decide on a day-by-day basis whether to open the pool. The public should call McBean Pool at (916) 434-3230 daily for updates.
