LINCOLN – A Lincoln man was found shot to death at his home Friday afternoon.
Family members discovered the body of 32-year-old Robert Joseph Vargas in the brush behind his home on S. Forbes Road about 1 p.m. with what appeared to be a single gunshot wound, according to Placer County Sheriff's Lt. Jeffrey Ausnow.
Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide. An autopsy will be performed later this week to determine the official cause of death.
