A portion of westbound Interstate 80 will be closed this week due to ongoing construction of the Sierra College Boulevard interchange.
Westbound lanes of I-80 will be closed from 9 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Tuesday, and from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday, states a Rocklin news release.
Traffic will be detoured to the Sierra College Boulevard exit, north to Granite Drive, and west to the Rocklin Road interchange.
The detour route will be patrolled by Rocklin police and California Highway Patrol officers.
Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling through the construction area, the release states.
