Paul Martin's American Bistro, one of Roseville's many new restaurants, will host a charity luncheon to benefit Roseville Arts from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

All proceeds from the luncheon will go toward Roseville Arts programs to further the enjoyment and growth of art in the community.

Paul Martin's is the latest creation of Paul Fleming, who put the P.F. in P.F. Chang's China Bistro.

Fleming will open his Roseville restaurant, the first Paul Martin's, on Oct. 29 in the Stone Point Center at Rocky Ridge and Eureka roads.

Paul Martin's features seasonal, largely local ingredients in a contemporary, urban loft setting.

Benefit luncheon tickets are $25 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.rosevillearts.org or call (916) 783-4117.

Another new Roseville eatery, UFood Grill, donated more than $3,100 to the Rotary Club of Roseville Foundation.

The fast-casual franchise specializing in tasty but healthy meals opened its first Sacramento-area restaurant in Roseville last month.

The Rotary Club will use UFood's grand opening net proceeds to implement programs benefiting children and at-risk families in the Roseville area. Programs include Miles of Smiles, which provides free dental care and sealants to second- and fifth-graders, holiday parties and food baskets for the homeless and dictionaries and books for area schools and libraries.

Franchise co-owners Wendy and Shane Vogel and Tami and John Peed hope to open nine more restaurants in the Sacramento region.

The Roseville UFood Grill is in the Nugget Market Shopping Center at Fairway Drive and Pleasant Grove Boulevard.

Chef Dane's is one of a growing number of meal-prep kitchen franchises. Customers assemble the dishes using ingredients and recipes provided by Chef Dane's and package them to be frozen or cooked at home.

The Rocklin franchise now offers delivery from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays for $5.
