Roseville DMV office evacuates after bomb threat

Published: Monday, Feb. 04, 2008

The state Department of Motor Vehicles office in Roseville was evacuated at 2 p.m. today after officials there received a bomb threat.

Dee Dee Gunther, a spokeswoman for the Roseville Police Department, said a bomb expert was searching the building at 222 Harding Blvd. but had found nothing as of 3 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol also dispatched at least three canine units to join in the search, she said.

Gunther said police arrived on the scene shortly after receiving a call from the DMV at 2:07 p.m. and found the building evacuated and the parking lot nearly empty.
