A holiday salute to the Irish took place Monday with Auburn's 134th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. About 1,000 spectators watched the parade, which proceeded from Lincoln Way to Old Town Auburn. The festivities were sponsored by the Hook and Ladder Company No. 1, a fundraising group from the Auburn Fire Department. Fire Capt. Tom Carlisle, foreman of the Hook and Ladder Company, said the parade featured several floats and car clubs, two motorcycle clubs, local Girl Scouts and the historical society known as the Whiskerinos.
