The public is invited to help set Placer County's long-term goals for planning and developing housing.
Two workshops have been scheduled to obtain public input on the county general plan's housing element.
The first workshop will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 5 at the Community Development Resource Center, 3091 County Center Drive, Auburn. The meeting site is near Bell Road and Richardson Drive at the old DeWitt Center.
The second workshop will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 10 at the Tahoe City Public Utility District, 221 Fairway Drive, Tahoe City.
The housing element sets goals, policies and implementation for future housing throughout the county and would remain in effect until 2013, said county spokeswoman Anita Yoder.
Michael Johnson, Placer's planning director, said the county is on schedule to submit the document for state approval by July 1.
